Make your own Junk Journal + Brunch

Join us for a deliciously slow, joy-filled morning of making, where we’ll teach you bookbinding techniques and show you how to create your own saddle stitch notebook to turn into your very own junk journal - beautiful, tactile diaries built from everyday treasures.

You’ll learn how to bind your pages using easy, beginner-friendly methods. You are encouraged to bring your own artwork, prints, scrap cardboard or papers to use but don't worry we've got plenty of scraps if you don't have any! We'll show you have to turn them into the cover and pages of your junk journal.

Then spend the rest of the session cutting, sticking, and collaging to your heart’s content. We’ll provide plenty of papers, textures, and collage materials, but you’re warmly encouraged to bring along your own “scrappy finds” - think postcards, old tickets, packaging, or anything that makes your heart happy.

Our lovely neighbours ZéZé in Deptford Market Yard will be serving up delicious brunch options, so you can sip, snack, and stick together your creations in good company.

No experience needed - just come as you are, ready to play with paper and leave with something beautifully, perfectly imperfect that’s all your own.

What’s included:

  • Guidance in simple bookbinding and journal construction

  • Access to a huge range of collage and decorative supplies

  • All tools and materials provided

Add-on optional brunch from ZéZé:

Avocado, feta, tomatoes & chilli on toast + £10.75
