HALF TERM SPECIAL - Bookbinding Taster Workshop
Join this short and satisfying saddle stitch bookbinding taster workshop in London and learn how to turn your leftover scraps, artwork, or printed ephemera into a beautiful, functional notebook.
This 90 minute activity teaches you the basics of saddle stitch bookbinding – a fast and accessible technique that’s perfect for making your own journals, sketchbooks, zines, or thoughtful gifts. It's a great workshop for anyone wanting to explore low-waste craft and simple bookbinding in a relaxed and friendly environment.
You are invited to bring your own flat materials, such as kids' art, old prints, or colourful cards. You will be guided through how to:
Choose or cut down your covers
Fold your internal pages (specialist book paper is provided)
Punch and stitch your notebook
Complete a final trim for a polished finish
We'll start by creating a small notebook to cover the process and then you'll have time to utilise your offcuts to create a bigger, fuller notebook.If you don't have materials to bring, there will be plenty of coloured card and studio scraps on hand for you to create something unique.
You’ll leave the session with your own handmade notebook and the lasting skills to continue making many more from your own treasured materials.

Embroidery Basics - Taster Workshop
In this relaxed and beginner-friendly workshop, guests will be introduced to the fundamentals of hand embroidery using an embroidery hoop.
Designed for complete beginners (or anyone wanting a refresher), this session moves at a gentle pace, with clear, step-by-step guidance throughout.
Participants will learn a selection of simple yet versatile stitches, gaining confidence as they explore how each stitch can be used creatively in their own future projects. Stitches covered include:

Introduction to Gilding Workshop with Lucy-Anne Bishop
Join Lucy-Anne in this delightful introduction to gilding workshop. You will embark on a creative journey into the elegant world of gilding. Learn the enchanting art of applying gold leaves to various surfaces as you craft a stunning piece to adorn your home. No prior experience is needed, as you will be guided through each step with patience and experience.
During the workshop, you will become acquainted with the different tools and techniques involved in the gilding process. Working with delicate imitation gold leaf, you will experience a sense of calm and accomplishment as you transform ordinary objects into shimmering masterpieces.
You'll start with gilding a wooden shape, from flowers to celestial shapes - perfect decorations or just adding some light to the darker evenings.
Lucy-Anne will talk you through the process, the materials, and the ways in which you can incorporate gilding into other art practices. Once you've got to grips with the process, you'll be able to experiment with different textures. We’ll provide a gorgeous selection of shells for you to play with, or you are welcome to bring your own small trinket to turn to gold - some favourites include Lego bricks and dried leaves.
By the end of the session, you will take home not only a beautiful gilded creation but also a newfound appreciation for this mesmerising craft. A perfect combination of creativity, learning, and joy in this gilding activity.
Parent + Baby Cheese Tasting
A relaxed, baby-friendly cheese tasting with non-alcoholic (or option to ‘add-on’ for wine lovers) pairings and stories behind the cheeses.
About Event
Join us on Tuesday 24th February at 11am for a warm, inclusive cheese tasting where parents can relax, enjoy great cheese, and bring their babies without any pressure or embarrassment.
This session is led by Lucy (@lucycheese), events organiser for cheese + wine pairings around South-East London. She is a cheesemonger at The Cheeseboard in Greenwich and was a finalist at the Young Cheesemonger of the Year Awards. She has chosen a delicious range of cheeses especially for this event, each paired with soft, playful drinks ideal for daytime tasting. Cheese, Please! Paired Cheese and Wine Tasting
A relaxed Friday-night tasting of exceptional Italian cheeses, thoughtfully paired and expertly guided.
Join us for Cheese, Please!, a relaxed and welcoming Italian cheese tasting hosted by local cheesemonger Lucy Cheese at Something Good Workshops in Deptford.
This Friday-night event is all about slowing down, tasting thoughtfully and enjoying great company. Lucy will guide you through five Italian cheeses, sharing stories about where they come from, how they’re made, and how to taste them properly — including one special cheese that features all three types of milk.
Each cheese is paired with a complementary drink, with a focus on enhancing flavour rather than formality. You’ll also receive a beautifully illustrated A3 table mat to doodle on during the tasting, which folds into your own take-home tasting notes booklet.
Perfect for foodies, couples, friends and small groups, this is a social, low-pressure way to learn something new while enjoying excellent cheese.

Ever wanted to learn to knit? Start with something cosy and satisfying - your very own handmade beanie!
We’ll be using 12mm needles and starting off with thick, stretchy yarn, making it easy to get the hang of things. You can then progress to a ball of Wool and the Gang Crazy Sexy wool as you start on your beanie.
The yarn, needles and yarn needle are yours to keep! Plus, you'll receive a set of beginner-friendly instructions with space for notes, and extra easy-to-follow patterns for hand mittens and slippers- so you can keep knitting even after the workshop!

Stitch Social
Looking for a friendly space to keep your stitch projects going? Join us at our Stitch Social – a relaxed evening every second Wednesday where you can bring along whatever you’re working on, from embroidery and knitting to crochet and felting.
This is an untutored session, perfect if you’ve been to a workshop before and want a bit of extra support to keep the momentum going, or if you just enjoy crafting in good company.

IT'S ALL FOLK'N PRINT - A Papercut Screenprint Workshop with Bench Allen
With over 11 years of screenprinting experience, printing for himself and others, the artist Bench Allen is inviting you creative rabble in for a good ole Moot, t’will be a bleddy hoot!
Quick shoot through of what ye’ll be doing:In a nutshell, you’ll be screenprinting with papercut stencils, creating imagery based off the theme of folk and folklore - though you can really do whatever your heart desires. There’ll be loads of blooming lovely colours to print with and in the end you’ll go away with a A5 print or a few, and a belly full of merriment.
This workshop is designed to show you how easy screenprinting can be printing at home with limit equipment.
If you have your own scissors, scalpels, cutting matts etc and reference imagery you’d like to bring please feel free, although all materials will be included.
This workshop includes a welcome drink from the bar at Something Good Workshops, which will be open during the session.

Friday Night Sip + Cross Stitch
Ease into your weekend with Sip & Cross Stitch, a relaxing Friday night workshop at Something Good Workshops in Deptford Market Yard.
You’ll choose from a range of beautiful Cotton Clara mini cross stitch kits, enjoy a drink from the bar, and settle into a cosy evening of mindful making. Loose Threads is a quiet, creative gathering for people who want to connect in gentle, low-pressure ways. Each month, we’ll meet to spend time with thread, yarn and fabric: sewing, mending, embroidery, knitting, crochet or just messing about with scraps and colour.
The club isn’t about expertise. It’s about using our hands to ease any nerves or anxiety – to open up conversation, soften silences and make it easier to be together. We’ll welcome messiness, play and the beauty of things unfinished.
I hope people show up with curiosity, kindness and openness – to stitches that go wonky, to conversations that meander, and to the joy of weaving connections one thread at a time.

Join us for a relaxed and creative workshop where you’ll design and make your own stitch journal using scrap fabrics, colourful felt and vibrant threads. This playful yet practical handmade book is designed to be both beautiful and functional - featuring space to safely store your needles and threads, along with canvas pages that are perfect for practising stitches, experimenting with new techniques, and recording your embroidery journey.
You’ll be guided through simple construction and stitching techniques, making this workshop suitable for beginners as well as those looking to refresh their skills. There’s plenty of room to personalise your journal with colour, texture and stitch, so each one will be completely unique.

Bookbinding Taster Workshop
Join this short and satisfying saddle stitch bookbinding taster workshop in London and learn how to turn your leftover scraps, artwork, or printed ephemera into a beautiful, functional notebook.
This 90 minute activity teaches you the basics of saddle stitch bookbinding – a fast and accessible technique that’s perfect for making your own journals, sketchbooks, zines, or thoughtful gifts. It's a great workshop for anyone wanting to explore low-waste craft and simple bookbinding in a relaxed and friendly environment.
You are invited to bring your own flat materials, such as kids' art, old prints, or colourful cards. You will be guided through how to:
Choose or cut down your covers
Fold your internal pages (specialist book paper is provided)
Punch and stitch your notebook
Complete a final trim for a polished finish
We'll start by creating a small notebook to cover the process and then you'll have time to utilise your offcuts to create a bigger, fuller notebook.If you don't have materials to bring, there will be plenty of coloured card and studio scraps on hand for you to create something unique.
You’ll leave the session with your own handmade notebook and the lasting skills to continue making many more from your own treasured materials.

If you're looking for a fun and creative way to relax, Still Life Paint Social offers a wonderfully relaxed, untutored painting activity in the heart of Deptford. Running from 7pm - 10pm, it’s the perfect workshop for exploring your artistic side in a laid-back setting.

Mixed Media Cyanotype Taster Workshop
Join Something Good Workshops for a fast and fun introduction to mixed media cyanotype printing - perfect for curious creatives and market wanderers!
In this taster session, you’ll design a striking A6 image using a mix of bold materials: sharpies, plants, tapes, and wooden letters - all layered onto acetate to form your design. We’ll guide you through exposing and washing your print using sunlight and water, revealing your unique cyanotype image to take home within the hour.
You’ll have all materials provided - just bring your imagination.
Feeling extra creative? For £5, you can upgrade to include your own custom acetate design. Just send us your image by Friday at 1pm and we’ll have it ready for your session.

Lino Block Printing Workshop
In this 3-hour workshop, you’ll be guided through the creative and satisfying process of lino block printing – from initial idea to final print.
We’ll start by exploring different approaches to designing lino blocks, with a special focus on how to create satisfying repeat patterns. Whether you’re drawn to bold shapes, intricate detail, or abstract motifs, you’ll learn how to turn your ideas into printable designs.
Then it’s time to carve! You’ll be shown the basics of lino cutting – from using the tools safely to achieving clean, confident lines.Each participant will design, carve, and print two 7.5 x 7.5 cm lino blocks of their own. We’ll print your blocks onto paper during the session, and you’ll leave with your carved blocks, your prints, and a handy pamphlet explaining how to repeat and combine your designs in future projects.
Best of all, your lino blocks can be used again and again – on paper or fabric (with the right inks) – and we’ll talk through ideas for how to continue printing at home.

Join us for a calming and creative embroidery workshop in London where you’ll stitch your own set of four linen napkins with personalised line drawings and words.
In this hands-on session, we’ll begin with a playful free-association drawing and writing activity to help you brainstorm words and illustrations you might want to feature on your napkins. Think doodles, everyday objects, or personal symbols – anything from a little egg to the name of a place you love.
Once you’ve come up with your designs, you’ll trace them onto dissolvable stabiliser - a magical material that sticks to fabric and disappears in water - making it easy to stitch over your drawings without marking the fabric itself.

HALF TERM SPECIAL - Cheese Tasting for Kids with Lucy Cheese
Children aged 6+ are invited to take part in a fun, interactive cheese tasting designed to spark curiosity, confidence, and creativity around food.
Guided by Lucy, an experienced cheesemonger and qualified French teacher, the session is carefully structured, engaging, and age-appropriate. With years of experience both in the cheese industry and working in school settings, Lucy is well used to leading groups of children and creating a calm, supportive environment where everyone feels included.
During the session, children will learn about a selection of cheeses and where they come from, before exploring a wide range of accompaniments.
Using pens and brown paper, they’ll match accompaniments to their names, then enjoy tasting and experimenting to discover what flavours they think work best together.
Accompaniments will include fresh and dried fruit, honey, chocolate, and a variety of biscuits and crackers, encouraging children to trust their tastebuds and have fun with flavour.
Parents and carers are very welcome to attend and observe (or join in!), making this a relaxed and sociable experience for all.
Soft drinks are included for the children.
The emphasis throughout is on learning through tasting, play, and exploration - with no pressure, just plenty of cheese and good fun.

Then it’s time to carve! You’ll be shown the basics of lino cutting – from using the tools safely to achieving clean, confident lines.
Each participant will design, carve, and print two 7.5 x 7.5 cm lino blocks of their own. We’ll print your blocks onto paper during the session, and you’ll leave with your carved blocks, your prints, and a handy pamphlet explaining how to repeat and combine your designs in future projects.
