We're trying something new! ..
Join us for the very first run of our French Link Stitch Bookbinding Workshop and help us launch a brand new session. As it's our first time teaching this particular binding method, we're offering this workshop at a discounted introductory price.
Over 2 hours, you'll learn how to make your own beautiful hand-bound notebook using French Link Stitch — a lovely exposed-spine binding that creates books which open beautifully and feel wonderfully handmade.
We'll guide you through the whole process, from folding your pages and preparing your covers to sewing everything together with the distinctive decorative stitch. No experience is needed, and all materials are included.
Whether you've always fancied trying bookbinding, want a mindful creative evening, or are looking for a new hobby, this is a lovely place to start.
During the workshop you'll:
Learn the basics of French Link Stitch binding.
Fold and prepare your paper into book sections.
Punch your sewing holes.
Stitch your own notebook together by hand.
Pick up plenty of tips for making more books at home.
You'll head home with your finished notebook, a new creative skill, and hopefully a new favourite way to turn paper into something you'll actually use.
As always at Something Good, you're very welcome to come on your own, bring a friend, or make a few new crafty pals while you're here.
