Cyanotype Toning & Matcha Ritual: Tea Toning Print Workshop with Matcha Making Experience
Spend a creative Sunday morning exploring cyanotype printmaking and the art of matcha.
In this collaborative workshop with Brut Tea, you’ll create two A6 multi-media cyanotype prints using sunlight to develop beautiful blue images. After exposure, you’ll learn a traditional tea toning technique, transforming the prints from Prussian blue into rich brown or purple tones using black or green tea.
While your prints tone in tea baths, Brut Tea will guide you through a matcha experience. You’ll be welcomed with a cup of premium Gyokuro before learning about matcha cultivation, flavour and preparation. You’ll practise traditional whisking techniques and prepare your own matcha latte to enjoy.
Combining craft, tea and slow Sunday creativity, this workshop offers a relaxed and memorable experience for anyone curious about printmaking or Japanese tea culture.
No prior experience required. All materials and tea are provided.
