Join us for a calming and creative embroidery workshop in London where you’ll stitch your own set of four linen napkins with personalised line drawings and words.
In this hands-on session, we’ll begin with a playful free-association drawing and writing activity to help you brainstorm words and illustrations you might want to feature on your napkins. Think doodles, everyday objects, or personal symbols – anything from a little egg to the name of a place you love.
Once you’ve come up with your designs, you’ll trace them onto dissolvable stabiliser – a magical material that sticks to fabric and disappears in water – making it easy to stitch over your drawings without marking the fabric itself.
You’ll learn backstitch and chain stitch (with tips on thread blending, outlining, and spacing), and then you'll be free to relax into mindful stitching. Whether you're a total beginner or looking for a creative reset, this workshop offers a joyful way to get into embroidery.
