Slow Crafting: Make Your Own Junk Journal

Join us for a creative + cosy evening of slow crafting your own unique junk journal to fill with your favourite scrappy treasures.

Take a break from your week and join us for a deliciously slow, joy-filled evening of making, where we’ll explore simple bookbinding techniques and create our very own junk journals from scratch - beautiful, tactile notebooks built from everyday treasures.

You’ll learn how to bind your pages using easy, beginner-friendly methods. You are encouraged to bring your own artwork, prints, scrap cardboard or papers to use. Put all that wrapping paper to good use + save your greentings cards from the recycling bin.

We'll show you how to turn them into the cover and pages of your junk journal.

Then spend the rest of the session cutting, sticking, and collaging to your heart’s content. We’ll provide plenty of papers, textures, and collage materials, but you’re warmly encouraged to bring along your own “scrappy finds” - think cards, reciepts, tickets, packaging, or anything that makes your heart happy.

No experience needed - just come as you are, ready to play with paper and leave with something beautifully, perfectly imperfect that’s all your own.

What’s included:

  • Guidance in simple bookbinding and journal construction

  • Access to LOADS of our collage and decorative supplies

  • Unlimited tea/coffee or your choice of drink from the bar

  • All tools and materials provided

Come for the crafting, stay for the calm - and take home a journal full of stories, scraps, and little bits of joy.
