Join us for a course of 3 evening workshops dedicated to the magic of lino reduction printing in London, a more advanced, richly rewarding printmaking technique that lets you build up layered artworks from just one lino block. This course is designed for anyone who has tried lino before.Over the course of the sessions, you’ll learn how reduction printing works, discuss how to design for reduction printing, and experiment with designing and carving your own piece. You'll leave with new confidence, skills, and your own layered reduction print to take home.What to expect:

How to reduce and simplify images for multi-layer printing
Colour planning and how to think in overlapping ink layers
Choice of paper to either hand print or use our press
Designing and carving the first layer of your own block
One-to-one support as you experiment with colour, registration, and sequencing
Time to deepen your understanding through hands-on practice at your own pace
You’ll finish with a multi-layer reduction print made from your single block, plus a host of new printing skills to try out again and again.
