Hardened steel with burr free punched eyes - ideal for bookbinding embroidery applications. Short needles with large eyes and sharp points.
Once used for working with chenille yarn, these needles are ideal for sewing coarse and strong fabrics using thick threads or yarns and are also perfect for bookbinding and embroidery.
The best carbon, hardened, tempered steel is used to maximise resistance to corrosion. The tapered and slightly conical points plus a polished body ensure the best penetration into fabrics. The needle eyes are smooth with no snags and protect the thread from damage.

These twisted linen threads are waxed, meaning they have passed through a bath of beeswax and starch, plus other ingredients which shall remain secret.
They are then brushed with horsehair and stretched. The waxing process makes the linen thread smooth and resistant, giving it rigidity and excellent hold.
