HALF TERM SPECIAL - Cheese Tasting for Kids with Lucy Cheese
Children aged 6+ are invited to take part in a fun, interactive cheese tasting designed to spark curiosity, confidence, and creativity around food.
Guided by Lucy, an experienced cheesemonger and qualified French teacher, the session is carefully structured, engaging, and age-appropriate. With years of experience both in the cheese industry and working in school settings, Lucy is well used to leading groups of children and creating a calm, supportive environment where everyone feels included.
During the session, children will learn about a selection of cheeses and where they come from, before exploring a wide range of accompaniments.
Using pens and brown paper, they’ll match accompaniments to their names, then enjoy tasting and experimenting to discover what flavours they think work best together.
Accompaniments will include fresh and dried fruit, honey, chocolate, and a variety of biscuits and crackers, encouraging children to trust their tastebuds and have fun with flavour.
Parents and carers are very welcome to attend and observe (or join in!), making this a relaxed and sociable experience for all.
Soft drinks are included for the children.
The emphasis throughout is on learning through tasting, play, and exploration - with no pressure, just plenty of cheese and good fun.
