Looking for a wine tasting in London with a creative twist?
Join us at Something Good Workshops in Deptford for our first evening of Good Wine, where wine tasting and drawing are interspersed throughout, creating a relaxed, social experience designed to wake up your senses.
You’ll be guided through a tasting of at least five wines (100ml pours) by our in-house wine guide, Jack Wild. Expect a no-nonsense approach focused on helping you understand what you actually like, why you like it, and how to choose wines with confidence.
Between tastings, we’ll lead a series of simple, playful still life drawing exercises using crayons and pastels. No experience needed, just a chance to loosen up, tune in, and enjoy the process.
Rather than separate activities, the evening is designed as a flow, wine and drawing paired throughout, encouraging you to slow down, notice more, and engage all your senses.
— Discover wines for spring and summer
— Try something outside your comfort zone
— Learn to trust your palate
— Enjoy a creative reset in a welcoming, social setting
All materials included.
About your wine guide
Jack has worked in wine and restaurants for the entirety of his career and is particularly passionate about the democratisation of wine (and conversely Champagne — but aren’t we all hypocrites?).
Working with Boutinot, Jack has helped shape the wine list behind our bar. His approach is straightforward, unpretentious, and rooted in helping people discover what they genuinely enjoy.

Where to find us
Our studio is next to Deptford station, 1 stop from London Bridge, or a 5min walk from New Cross Station for the Wind Rush line.
We’re on a grade II listed railway ramp that is accessible from platform 1 of Deptford station (behind the lifts) or up from Deptford High St next to SALT bar, that floats above the arches of Deptford Market Yard and under a very colourful flat block.
